Directions
- Combine butter and flour.
- Add milk.
- Cook over hot water until thick and smooth.
- Combine egg yolks and sugar.
- Add to first mixture.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Add salt, vanilla, and coconut.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Pour into well-buttered casserole.
- Set in pan of warm water.
- Bake in moderate oven (375 F) until an inserted knife comes out clean.
- Serve with lemon sauce. 8 servings.
